Olympiacos boss Michel believes his side are capable of hurting Atletico Madrid in their Champions League clash on Tuesday.

The former Real Madrid player also revealed that his side have been preparing to face Diego Simeone’s men for some time.

“We used the pre-season to give the team ideas and a style, so we’ve long been getting ready for this game and can’t drastically change those ideas come the match.

“I don’t know what the score will be but we are up for this kind of challenge and it’s not new to us. Most opponents come here with an idea of what to expect and leave having suffered.

“We are going to try, with a clear knowledge of our opponents, to hurt them,” Michel told gathered media at a Press conference in Athens.

According to Michel, the Spanish champions have their own way of playing that makes them one of the best teams in the Champions League.

“They have a recognisable style that puts them amongst the best. Their win over Real Madrid on Saturday helps us understand the difficulties we face against them, both for the players and the fans,” he added.
