Cosmin Contra has told Getafe they need to do better against teams ranked higher in the League following defeat to Sevilla.
Carlos Bacca, from the penalty spot, and Aleix Vidal scored as Los Rojiblancos recorded a home win against El Geta and speaking after the match, Contra predicted a difficult season unless things change soon.
“We still don’t know how to play against a team that’s usually above us,” he said, according to AS.
“If we don’t change this chip, things can go wrong.
“We held up well in the first half, which didn’t have many chances for them, but they got the penalty and the 1-0 at half time. The slack end to the first half conditioned the second.
“We have to have more intensity. There’s nothing else to work on. During the week we work well, with intensity, but come the game, it’s not there.”
