Bravo wants more clean sheets

Barcelona goalkeeper Claudio Bravo hopes to maintain the run of clean sheets with which he has started the season.

Bravo recorded a third straight shutout for his new club as Barca beat Athletic Bilbao 2-0, and the Chile international stressed the importance of not conceding when he spoke to reporters after the match.

He also revealed why he didn’t play for his country in the second round of international games, instead preferring to return to Spain.

“The goalkeeper has to have a zero as his target,” Bravo said, according to AS.

“We created a lot of chances and we leave with a good result. We prepared well in pre-season and this victory leaves us very happy.

“Chile wanted to rotate, so I could go back to Barcelona. I feel very natural and acclimatised to Barcelona.”
