Granada stronger for break says Nyom

Granada defender Allan Nyom feels the international break has benefited his team before their game with Villarreal this weekend.

“The week has been positive for us without any La Liga games because we’ve been able to complete what we were doing pre-season, so I think the rest will have made us stronger,” the Cameroon international [pictured, left] told a Press conference.

However, he is anticipating a very difficult game against the Yellow Submarine at Los Carmenes on Sunday night.

“Villarreal are a team that are very good inside and have a game that works well both offensively and defensively.

“I’m expecting a tough game because they have a lot of quality players that can do well.”

Nyom admitted he spoke with centre-back Dany Nounkeu before his move to Granada on a season-long loan from Galatasaray on deadline day, the pair being friends from their time together with their national team.

“I told him all about the city and team. He will bring us strength and competitiveness because he has a lot of experience,” he maintained.
