Alcacer: An honour to play for Spain

Paco Alcacer has spoken of his pride at being part of the Spain squad amid reports he will start against Macedonia.

Alcacer is expected to play as La Roja begin their Euro 2016 qualification campaign in Levante and has told a Press conference that he is proud to be with the national team.

“For me it’s an honour to play for Spain and be with the squad here in Valencia,” AS reports the Valencia forward as saying.

“I don’t know if I’m going to play. It’s up to the Coach to decide.

“Before there was me and Diego Costa but circumstances meant Diego had to leave [after suffering an injury].

“But there are a lot of players here who can do well in front of goal.”
