Costa replaced by Munir in Spain squad

Diego Costa has pulled out of the Spain squad due to injury with his place taken by Barcelona youngster Munir El Haddadi.

The RFEF confirmed on their official website that Costa has suffered a hamstring injury and will return to Chelsea for further treatment.

Munir has been drafted in from the Under-21 side to take his place in the squad to play Macedonia on Monday in La Roja’s first Euro 2016 qualifier.

Costa played just over an hour for Spain in the 1-0 defeat to France on Thursday while Munir started for the Under-21s in their 1-0 win over Hungary, going off after 77 minutes.

Munir scored on his Barca debut at the start of the season, helping the Catalans to a 3-0 win over Elche.
