The LFP has prevented Getafe registering Pedro Leon as to do so would have breached the club’s salary cap.
Getafe are only allowed a wage bill of €17m and both Marca and AS report that Leon’s pay packet would take the club past the total amount.
Legal action has been mooted to allow Leon to play and the players’ union, the AFE, is looking into the case. A legal challenge could be made.
AS add that Sevilla and West Bromwich Albion enquired about signing the winger but he eventually remained at Coliseum Alfonso Perez, only to be told he isn’t able to play for his team.
