Alvaro Negredo has been unveiled as a Valencia player with 12,000 fans turning out at Mestalla to welcome the loan signing.
Negredo on Monday, transfer deadline day, completed a season-long move to Los Che from Manchester City and spoke to the gathered support.
“I thank Peter Lim, Rufete and President Amadeo Salvo for their confidence in me,” he said, according to Marca.
“I am convinced they will do great things because this support deserves it.
“Now I’m lucky to have Mestalla on my side, every Sunday. I want to take Valencia to where they should be.
“I hope to be part of the Valencia family. They are going to do great things.”
He later added at a Press conference that he was content with life in the Premier League but when Valencia called, felt compelled to answer.
“I was happy at City but Valencia chose me. Together we will pull this off,” he continued.
“I’m feeling good but I don’t know when I’ll return [from a foot injury].”
