Ramos: Respect Cristiano’s opinion

Sergio Ramos has replied to Cristiano Ronaldo’s perceived criticism of Real Madrid’s transfer policy.

The centre-back was speaking while on international duty but was asked about club matters after Ronaldo suggested Madrid were wrong to sell Xabi Alonso and Angel Di Maria.

AS reports that Ramos declined to reveal if he agreed with his club colleague, instead saying only that opinions should be respected.

“Everyone will have their opinion and should be respected,” he said.

“I’m not going to evaluate the statement of Cristiano or any player.

“I belong to the club and I can’t do anything else. I’ll keep my opinion to myself.”

Ramos also welcomed Javier Hernandez to Madrid, believing the Mexico international has a lot to offer.

“Anything and everything that he provides is positive,” Ramos said of Chicharito.

“He is a recognised international player who has scored goals in a good time for football and can bring things to the team.”
