Espanyol have confirmed that midfielder David Lopez will complete a transfer to Napoli later today.
Reports have been rife that the 24-year-old was a target for Rafa Benitez’s side after an impressive four years in Barcelona.
And today the Periquitos have revealed that the youngster will move to Italy, in a deal thought to be worth around €5m.
“Early on Saturday morning, RCD Espanyol and SSC Napoli agreed terms for David Lopez’s transfer,” a statement read.
“Due to this agreement, the Sant Cugat midfielder will fly to Italy today in order to undergo his medical and complete the transfer.”
