Barcelona sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta has suggested the club hasn’t yet concluded its transfer business.
Zubi was speaking after the Champions League draw pitted La Blaugrana against Paris Saint-Germain, Ajax and Apoel and was asked about the signing of Douglas.
He responded by explaining why the club moved for a right-back but added that the site of the Champions League draw, Monaco, allowed for more negotiations.
“We wanted more choice at full-back, more competition,” AS reports the former goalkeeper as saying.
“Our full-backs are different versions.
“We’re working to have the best team and on September 2 we can say what team we have.
“During the last hours there have been a lot of moves.
“Tomorrow we will present Douglas and he can play against Villarreal and we will see what he can do.
“A lot of things are finished here.”
