Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic has offered his thoughts on playing with Lionel Messi, Munir El Haddadi and Villarreal.
The Yellow Submarine are Barca’s second opponents of the season and Rakitic has appeared at a pre-match Press conference.
“Marcelino was my Coach at Sevilla. Villarreal are a strong team and he prepares his team 100%,” Rakitic said, according to Mundo Deportivo.
“It will be very difficult but we travel with positive thoughts.”
Rakitic also spoke of two of his teammates, Messi and Munir, the scorers in the 3-0 win over Elche.
“I’ve always seen Messi at his best. We realise he is the best in the world and maybe the best in the history of football. I thank God for being in this team,” he continued.
“There’s no surprise about the quality of Munir. From day one he has been working a lot, having his head in the right place.
“He’s going to give us a lot of joy. He’s a young player who has no ceiling.”
