Three Barcelona representatives have arrived in Brazil to complete the signing of Douglas.
Barca's general director Antoni Rossich, director of football Raul Sanllehí and Brazilian representative André Cury landed overnight to complete the deal.
The 24-year-old is set to sign a contract with the Camp Nout outfit that will keep him with the club until 2019.
A loan move back to Sao Paulo was thought to be in the pipeline, but that is now out of the question following the Blaugrana’s transfer ban, which is enforced as of September 1.
The move will cost Barca €6m and will be announced within the next few days.
