Real Madrid defender Marcelo has insisted that his side will get better, after their stuttering 2-0 win over Cordoba.
Los Blancos were made to sweat against the newly-promoted side on Monday evening, but claimed all three points thanks to goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema.
And the Brazilian full-back has hailed the Ballon d’Or, but believes there is still room for improvement.
“We know that Cristiano always scores," the defender told reporters after the game.
“We trust him and know what he will do for us.
“It is the start of the season and we all have to get better, but we gave everything to please the fans.
“We have the whole league to try and move forward.”
