Valencia are waiting on Peter Lim’s Meriton to agree terms with Benfica over the signing of Enzo Perez.
Marca reports that the deal is being conducted through Lim’s company rather than the club and it was thought that a deal had been reached.
Meriton claim they had an agreement of €25m with the Portuguese club and allege the price has since been raised to €30m.
It appeared Benfica had signed a replacement for Perez but the transfer is no closer, and Valencia could turn to a plan B of their own.
Filipe Augusto, who played under Coach Nuno at Rio Ave, would be Los Che’s second choice.
