Sami Khedira is to stay at Real Madrid for the coming season and is in the club’s good books, but Asier Illarramendi could leave on loan.
AS reports that Khedira has been brought back into the fold after it appeared he had been cast aside, not including in the squad for the European Super Cup or the Supercopa de Espana.
Khedira also raised the ire of the club by leaving to watch his brother play in Germany without being given permission to do so.
But AS say Khedira has been working harder in training and was embraced by Pepe, suggesting all is well with his teammates at least.
Illarra, meanwhile, is now the fifth-choice midfielder at the club and could be sent out on loan before the transfer window closes.
Khedira staying means the former Real Sociedad player may be surplus to requirements and could return to the Basque country - but with Athletic Bilbao.
Athletic are still looking for a way to replace Ander Herrera, who was sold to Manchester United, and are interested in Illarra.
