Caparros: Crowd was important

Joaquin Caparros believes the Granada fans played a role in the team’s come-from-behind win over Deportivo La Coruna.

Ivan Cavaleiro put the newly-promoted visitors in front in the first half, only for Ruben Rochina and Jean-Sylvain Babin to turn the game around.

“It seemed we weren’t playing for three points in the first half, it looked like a pre-season game,” Caparros said, according to Marca.

“In the second half the team was tight, scored goals, created chances and weren’t in danger.

“I had to change things because the game suited Deportivo, had to change the dynamics and succeeded.

“At 0-1 [the crowd] continued to support the team and has been instrumental in the comeback.”
