Nuno: We’re not out for revenge

Nuno Santo has insisted that Valencia are ready to take on Sevilla at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan tonight.

Los Che play the Rojiblancos in their first game of the season this evening, and the new Portuguese Coach has claimed that his men are prepared for the battle ahead.

“I understand that people want revenge [for the Europa League semi-final last season], but we can’t focus on that,” he told a Press conference.

“Going into the game with that hanging over you is not good. We are ready to compete, but we’re not looking for revenge.

“Belief is essential for us this season. We have to believe we can win, but we also have to be organised, strong individually and collective, and win our own battles.”

The tactician also admitted that his side were on the lookout for a new striker.

“We know that we need one more forward. We need someone with a different profile to the players we have.

“Llorente or Negredo? They are great strikers, but there are other options.”
