Malaga boss Javi Gracia believes his side are ready to take on Athletic Bilbao later this evening.
The Costa del Sol outfit take on Los Leones in their first League game of the season at the Rosaleda tonight.
And the new Coach has backed his men to get the campaign off to the best possible start.
“We’re at a good level but need to prove it day to day as well as better ourselves every day,” he told a Press conference.
“We all have a special interest in that all the hard work we put in over the pre-season will be rewarded with three points from this first match of the season.”
The weather forecast has it being incredibly hot in the south for kick off on Saturday, but the tactician doesn’t want to focus on off-field matters.
“The weather is of no importance to me, nor whether the rival may be suffering with fatigue. I prefer to focus on ourselves and our performance.”
