Valencia owner Peter Lim is again looking at signing Porto striker Jackson Martinez with a mooted fee of €35m required.
AS say Los Che are still in the market for a new striker and have €50m to spend, with the Colombia international the favourite of Lim.
But Martinez has a buyout clause of €35m and the Porto President isn’t likely to except anything less.
Lim could though exploit his friendship with Portuguese agent Jorge Mendes to push through the deal as Mendes is also close to the Porto hierarchy.
Milan have also been linked with Martinez, particularly as they are about to sell Mario Balotelli to Liverpool.
Valencia may also need to sell to stay in check with Financial Fair Play and Joao Pereira, Helder Postiga and Jonas are all available.
