Ronaldo facing fitness test

Cristiano Ronaldo will this morning undergo a fitness test ahead of the Supercopa de Espana second leg against Atletico Madrid.

AS reports Ronaldo initially appeared to be carrying a hamstring injury in training on Thursday, but was able to complete the session.

Carlo Ancelotti was seen speaking with Ronaldo about the problem and Ronaldo seemed to indicate he was feeling fine.

But it is thought that Ronaldo suffered from some discomfort during the workout and while he is keen to play in the match, may not get the blessing of the Madrid medical staff.

Ronaldo started the first leg at Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday but was withdrawn at half-time due to injury.

AS add the injury, to his left leg, is related to the tendonitis he suffered earlier this year.

Ronaldo will have a fitness test to determine if he can be involved at Vicente Calderon.
