Arrasate ‘excited’ for EL tie

Jagoba Arrasate believes Real Sociedad were unlucky to be paired with Krasnodar in the Europa League but is relishing the encounter.

La Real host the Russians tonight in the first leg of their play-off meeting and the Coach told a Press conference that it’s unfortunate his side have to play such a strong opponent in such an early round.

“We’ve had bad luck in the draw. They’re a good team and they’re in form but we don’t face them with fear or dread,” Marca reports Arrasate as saying.

“It’s a great tie. It’s going to be exciting. It’s a challenge for us because we love to play in Europe, we want to win things in Europe, and for this we have to pass this round.

“The difficulties in this competition have come to us prematurely but we want to play a good game, have options to go there and to play the group stage.

“We are passionate about playing in Europe. The dream is the same.”
