Barca loan deals to dodge transfer ban?

Reports in Spain suggest Barcelona may sign players this summer but loan them to their clubs for a year to dodge the FIFA-imposed transfer ban.

FIFA yesterday rejected Barca’s appeal against the two transfer window embargo and it is due to come into effect in January 2015.

Barca have confirmed that they will appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport but Mundo Deportivo report Barca are considering a way of circumventing the punishment.

The club could sign players before the close of the current transfer window and loan them back to their clubs for a season, they incorporate them next summer.

Barca would hold the rights to the players and be able to name them in their squad in the summer of 2015, and would also keep to the letter of the transfer ban.

MD say the signings of Sao Paulo right-back Douglas, Borussia Dortmund midfielder Marco Reus and Fiorentina’s Juan Cuadrado could be completed this way.

In the case of Reus, it’s claimed Dortmund would welcome retaining the Germany international for another year and would prefer he go to Barca than domestic rival Bayern Munich.

Barca have been sanctioned for the signing of 10 underage players, while the RFEF have also been fined for their role in the transfers.
