Saul Niguez has said he has no problem taking up unfamiliar positions for Atletico Madrid as he just relishes the chance to play.
The 19-year-old was a surprise inclusion for the first leg of the Supercopa de Espana against Real Madrid, helping the champions claim a 1-1 draw at Santiago Bernabeu.
Marca reports Saul as being deployed on the right of midfield and he told reporters after the match that he was delighted just to be involved, as he is any time he wears Atletico colours.
“Any game, any minute, in Atleti’s shirt is like a final,” Saul said.
“I have a job to do to my best for Los Colchoneros to support me.
“If the Coach tells me I’m playing on the wing I will try my best to help the team.
“I have to be dedicated, to work, learn and keep improving.”
