Ernesto Valverde has conceded that a draw was probably the right result as Athletic Bilbao drew 1-1 with Napoli.
Iker Muniain’s goal was cancelled out by Gonzalo Higuain in the first leg of their Champions League play-off this evening.
And the Coach has admitted that the result was a fair one.
“We had hoped for something more, as we played the first 70 minutes very well. We conceded that Higuain goal and Napoli created more chances after that,” he told Sky Sport Italia
“I think it is probably the right result and we’ll see what happens in the second leg.
“We don’t know if Muniain’s goal will make the difference, but clearly Napoli have to score in Bilbao.
“We played a very intense game tonight and it will all go down to the second leg.”
