Suarez: Barca a dream come true

Luis Suarez has admitted that it is a dream come true to sign for Barcelona and can’t wait to play for the Blaugrana.

The Uruguay international joined the Camp Nou outfit this summer from Liverpool in an €80m deal.

The striker though, can’t play until the end of October after being banned for four months by FIFA following his bite on Giorgio Chiellini in the World Cup.

The goalscorer however, wanted to focus on his attentions on Barca at his official unveiling this afternoon.

“These are spectacular experiences, really emotional. It was a great feeling to play in the Camp Nou, I loved it,” he told a Press conference.

“I’ve dreamed of playing for Barca for years and now it’s true. I never thought this moment would come.

“Being a superstar? The stars are in the sky. I'm here to help the team to try to win trophies.

“What surprised me most was the great atmosphere at the dressing-room. I feel like a member of the family already.

“You admire the quality players like Messi and Neymar have. They link up well. I felt like applauding during the game yesterday [against Leon].

“When I came to watch games at Camp Nou [as a teenager], I thought: 'One day I will play here'. But it seemed something far away then.

“Playing El Clasico day after ban ends? That's still a long time away, but if I'm physically okay, there shouldn't be any problem.

“I can play in all forward positions. At Liverpool, I also played many games on right or left, with Sturridge in the centre.

“Biting incident? I've offered my apologies. I've been talking to professionals to deal with it.”
