Spain have moved up one place to seventh in the latest FIFA rankings, level on points with World Cup hosts Brazil.
World Cup winners Germany lead the way with runners-up Argentina in second place. The Netherlands, Colombia and Belgium, who all reached the World Cup’s latter stages, are also ahead of La Roja.
Behind Spain and Brazil are Switzerland and France, who round out the top 10, while World Cup revelations Costa Rica have reached a highest-ever placing of 15th.
