Sevilla are monitoring Gerard Deulofeu’s situation at Barcelona amid rumours the winger could leave on loan.
Deulofeu is the only Barca first team player not to start a pre-season friendly under Coach Luis Enrique and Mundo Deportivo report the newly-appointed boss has been critical of Deulofeu’s defensive work rate.
The Spain international has also not been given a squad number for the new season, although MD add that could be down to Barca waiting for Alex Song to be sold so his No.17 becomes available.
But Deulofeu was sent on loan from Barca B to Everton last summer and Los Rojiblancos could exploit the uncertainty around the future of the 20-year-old.
Sevilla have already taken one Barca youngster on a temporary basis, signing Denis Suarez as part of the deal that took Ivan Rakitic to Camp Nou.
MD also reveal they have contact the Deulofeu camp about the suggestion he could leave on loan, but received a no comment, with Barca giving a similar reply.
