Fabio Coentrao wants Real Madrid to prepare well for the next five trophies available after winning the European Super Cup.
Coentrao started the match and Marca reports the left-back as saying after the final whistle that Los Blancos deserved the win.
He also indicated the team’s mind had already turned towards the rest of the season, with another five trophies up for grabs.
“We’ve played a good game and deserved to win the trophy,” Coentrao said.
“We deserved to win the title. We’re going to go for all trophies available and we’re working now for the other five.
“The ambition when playing for Madrid is to win. I’ve been at my best since I arrived. I have confidence in my teammates and that’s easier.”
Coentrao added that he wasn’t looking to leave Santiago Bernabeu any time soon and believes his contribution to the club is appreciated.
“I hope to stay. This is my fourth year in Madrid, I’m happy and I hope I stay,” he continued.
“I think I’m valued now.”
