Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has allegedly told Real Madrid’s Sami Khedira the Blues will take him on a free next year.
Khedira’s Madrid contract has 12 months to run and Mundo Deportivo reports the two parties are at odds over an extension.
MD further claim that Mourinho has indicated to the Germany international that there is a place for him at Stamford Bridge should he see out his current deal.
Madrid have tried to tie down the World Cup winner but the Khedira camp has been evasive, leading Los Blancos to seriously consider forcing his sale in the current transfer window.
If Khedira isn’t sold – but still doesn’t sign a new deal – MD add that he will be reduced to a token role in the side, with the blessing of Coach Carlo Ancelotti.
