Del Bosque will be at Super Cup

Spain Coach Vicente Del Bosque will be at the European Super Cup meeting between Real Madrid and Sevilla on Tuesday.

AS reports that del Bosque will be running the rule over Iker Casillas, Dani Carvajal and Denis Suarez in particular as he prepares to name his first post-World Cup squad.

The squad to play a friendly against France on September 4 will be revealed on August 29, with the first qualifier for Euro 2016 against Macedonia to come a few days later.

AS claim del Bosque wants players who are playing for their team and Casillas should benefit from that, particularly as Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have signed non-Spanish goalkeepers.

Carvajal is also on Del Bosque’s watch list as he considers who will be Spain’s next right-back, and while Sergio Ramos is likely to play against Sevilla, his national team position is secure.

Suarez will also be under the microscope and could win a place for La Roja if he impresses after leaving Barca for Los Rojiblancos.

Del Bosque and his staff will also use the trip to Cardiff to check on the fitness of the Spain players in the Premier League, including Jesus Navas.

Chelsea’s three Spain internationals, Cesar Azpilicueta, Fernando Torres and Diego Costa, will also be discussed.
