Man Utd to step in for Di Maria?

Manchester United could move into pole position to sign Angel Di Maria from Real Madrid after Paris Saint-Germain ended talks.

The PSG President yesterday revealed he felt Di Maria was too expensive but Madrid still want to sell as getting a hefty fee for the Argentina international was part of the plan to fund the signings of Toni Kroos, James Rodriguez and Keylor Navas, AS report.

United could take advantage of the situation, AS add, as Di Maria has made up his mind to quit Santiago Bernabeu even though Carlo Ancelotti wants him to stay.

But Di Maria doesn’t feel he is paid his true value. He is back in training and if he is still a Madrid player by the time of the game, could be involved in next week’s European Super Cup.

Should Di Maria stay at Madrid then Los Blancos wouldn’t be able to sign Radamel Falcao from Monaco as the Colombia striker requires a non-EU player slot and Di Maria, James and Navas currently occupy the three Madrid are allowed.
