New Levante signing Jesus Fernandez wants to show Real Madrid that they were wrong to let him leave the club.
The goalkeeper left Los Blancos as part of the deal that took Costa Rican shot-stopper Keylor Navas in the opposite direction.
“I am very excited,” Fernandez told reporters this afternoon. “I came here to grow and for people to see my work. Of course I want to show Real Madrid the goalkeeper that they are losing.”
Fernandez was then asked about Navas and whether has a chance of establishing himself as Madrid’s number one.
“Keylor is going to the best place to showcase his skills and time will tell whether he can be the best.
“The circumstances are complicated [with Real Madrid’s three goalkeepers] and it depends on the club.
“Navas had a great season and I am coming here to do the best I can.”
