Real Madrid are waiting for Paris Saint-Germain to be in contact over the signing of Angel Di Maria and the clock is ticking.
Di Maria is due back in training with Madrid next week but has an agreement with PSG. But the clubs can’t come to terms, with PSG’s hands tied by the Financial Fair Play penalty to which they are subject.
Marca reports a fee in the region of €75m has been agreed but PSG proposed a one-year loan at €10m and the rest in 12 months to try and circumvent their punishment.
Madrid rejected the suggestion and it’s not certain it would have avoided the FFP penalty anyway.
Di Maria wants to go but Carlo Ancelotti wants him to stay as agent Jorge Mendes works to come to an arrangement that all parties find acceptable.
