Liverpool lining up Alves?

Liverpool have been linked with a move for Barcelona full-back Dani Alves, according to reports in Spain and England.

Mundo Deportivo cite claims from the English media that say Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is considering a move for the Brazil international as he isn’t convinced by the Reds’ current right-back, Glen Johnson.

It was reported earlier in the week that Barca had told Alves he was free to leave Camp Nou this summer and Alves is said to be mulling over his options.

Paris Saint-Germain were linked with an approach for Alves back in May but MD add the French club appear to have ruled out signing the 31-year-old.

Liverpool would pay just over €6m to sign Alves, it’s been claimed.
