Atletico Madrid have agreed terms with Cristian Ansaldi but not wrapped up a deal with his club, Zenit St. Petersburg.
Marca reports that Ansaldi has been identified as a player for next season’s Atletico squad as he is capable of playing at either right-back or left-back.
But the champions have not been able to come to an agreement with Zenit, who want more money than Atletico are currently willing to offer.
Should Ansaldi arrive at Vicente Calderon it will signal the end of Emilano Insua’s time at the club.
