Morata injured two days after move

Alvaro Morata has suffered a terrible start to his Juventus career, picking up a knee injury just two days after a move.

The Spanish striker joined the Italian champions on Saturday for €20m from Real Madrid.

But the club have confirmed that the youngster went down in yesterday’s session, with his condition to be assessed today.

“During training this afternoon Alvaro Morata has reported a sprain in his left knee,” Juve’s official website read.

“His condition will be evaluated tomorrow.”

There have been no official responses from the Bianconeri, but rumours are emanating from Italy that Morata could be out for up to eight weeks.
