It has been confirmed that Alvaro Negredo has suffered a broken foot and will be sidelined for a couple of months.
Reports earlier today indicated Negredo had fractured the fifth metatarsal in his right foot during Manchester City’s friendly win over Scottish side Hearts.
The BBC reports Negredo as sharing a picture on Instagram of his foot in a protective boot, accompanied with a message promising to return better than before.
“I want to let you know that it's going to be hard for the next few months,” Negredo wrote.
“I fractured my fifth metatarsal and will be out a few months. I will be back stronger than ever. I will return with a vengeance.”
