Iago Aspas is looking to the future after completing his move from Sevilla, ending a ‘bad season’ at Liverpool.
The forward has told Sevilla’s official website that when he became aware of Los Rojiblancos’ interest, he and his agent worked hard to get the move done.
“I’m happy to come here. The club put a lot of effort into getting us here,” he said.
“When we knew of the interest of the club, both my agent and I made a lot of effort to come here.”
Aspas added that he is eager to start training so he can be fit for the European Super Cup against Real Madrid on August 12, and that he is happy to have a fresh start after a disappointing spell at Anfield.
“It was a bad season personally, where I didn’t play as much as I wanted,” he admitted.
