PSG want Di Maria on loan?

Paris Saint-Germain have tried to take Angel Di Maria on loan from Real Madrid for a season to dodge UEFA’s Financial Fair Play regulations.

AS claim that the French club want Di Maria for a year and will pay Madrid €60m in the summer of 2015, a proposal turned down by Los Blancos.

PSG recently fell afoul of UEFA’s FFP rules and have been limited to spending €50m this summer – a figure they reached with the purchase of David Luiz from Chelsea.

But PSG still want Di Maria and want to avoid having to sell before they can buy. However, Madrid are counting on the Di Maria money to fund their signing of James Rodriguez from Monaco and rejected the idea.

AS cite reports from La Parisien that claim the approach was made earlier this month and turned down by President Florentino Perez.

The clubs have yet to come to an agreement over the sale of the Argentine, with reports from England suggesting PSG will sell Edinson Cavani to Manchester United to pay for Di Maria.
