‘Monaco can replace James’

Monaco striker Valere Germain is confident that the club can replace James Rodriguez should he leave for Real Madrid.

The Colombia international has been spotted in the Spanish capital this afternoon, adding fuel to the rumours that he will sign for the European champions shortly.

But after only playing one season for the principality outfit, the 24-year-old forward believes his team can bounce back from James’ possible departure.

“All the players have faith in the club's officials,” he told L’Equipe

“If James leaves, as he's considered as one of the best in Europe right now, it would be a huge loss.

“But Monaco can always buy new recruits. I'm sure we’ll have a team as competitive as last year.”
