Morata still set on Juventus

Alvaro Morata still wants to move to Juventus from Real Madrid after he was reassured by Antonio Conte’s replacement Max Allegri.

Conte on Tuesday resigned his position at the Serie A champions, putting into doubt Morata’s proposed transfer to Turin.

Former Milan Coach Allegri was this week confirmed as Conte’s successor and after speaking with Morata, the deal is still expected to go through, according to AS.

Juventus are to pay €18m for the striker, while if Madrid want to exercise a buy-back clause they will pay €30m after one year and €35m after two.

Madrid attempted to insert a clause in the deal that prevented Juventus selling Morata to another Spanish club, but the Italians rejected the stipulation.

Morata could become a Juventus player this weekend if the clubs can finalise the details of the signing.
