Sevilla have confirmed the signing of Iago Aspas on a year-long loan from Liverpool, with the option of a permanent move.
The striker joined the Premier League side from Celta Vigo last summer, but played just 15 games for Brendan Rodgers’ men, scoring just one goal.
And after a frustrating time at Anfield, the goalscorer has opted to come back to Spain, signing for the Andalusian outfit.
A statement on their official website read: “Sevilla and Liverpool have reached an agreement for the loan, with the option to buy, Iago spas.
“At the end of the season Sevilla may exercise a clause that would see him join us for the next three seasons.”
