‘Suarez says he won’t bite again…’

Marc Bartra believes Barcelona won’t have a problem with Luis Suarez as the Uruguay forward has vowed not to bite anyone again.

Suarez is due to next week complete a move to Camp Nou from Liverpool but is in the midst of a four-month ban from all football after biting Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini during the World Cup.

Bartra welcomed the arrival of Suarez and says that Suarez’s apology means the incident should be forgotten.

“It’s a great addition, one of the best strikers in the world and he will raise the level of the team,” Mundo Deportivo reports the defender as saying.

“The most important thing is that he has apologised, which honours him as a person, and hopefully he will provide us with good football and goals.

“He won’t bite. He has promised that he won’t.”
