Barca pushing through clear-out

Barcelona hope to have sold or released every player not wanted by Luis Enrique by the start of next week.

AS has reported that while five players have already left Camp Nou, a further half-a-dozen are on the verge of departing.

Victor Valdes, Carles Puyol, Jose Pinto, Cesc Fabregas and Jonathan Dos Santos have all left, either retiring, not having their contracts renewed or sold.

Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, Claudio Bravo, Ivan Rakitic, Rafinha and Gerard Deulofeu have been added to the squad from last season but sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta faces a busy few days to conclude more outgoings.

Cristian Tello, Bojan, Isaac Cuenca, Oier Olazabal, Ibrahim Afellay and Alex Song are the players identified as free to go.

Tello is expected to join Porto, Cuenca is likely to head to Deportivo La Coruna and Bojan is wanted by Malaga.

Barca begin pre-season training on Monday and are understood to want the players’ futures settled by then.
