Madrid & Bayern €5m apart on Kroos

Toni Kroos has made an agreement with Real Madrid but Bayern Munich have yet to sign off on the deal, it has been claimed.

Germany international Kroos is expected to make the move to Santiago Bernabeu once the World Cup is over and has agreed terms with Los Blancos, AS say, citing a report from German publication Bild.

It’s said that Kroos will sign a five-year contract worth €12m a year, substantially more than the contract offer from Bayern offered.

All that’s required is a deal between the clubs and while it’s not expected to be a problem, it’s not yet been made – partly because Bayern’s general manager, Karl Heinz Rummenigge, is on holiday and can’t give the go-ahead.

Madrid want to pay €25m for Kroos while Bayern want €30m, and Hansa Rostock are due part of the transfer fee for their role in developing the 24-year-old, who was at Hansa as a youngster before switching to Bayern.

Kroos has said he has made a decision over his future after months of speculation, with his Bayern contract expiring next summer, but added he is keeping it under wraps while the World Cup is on-going.
