Bravo ‘proud’ to join Barca

New Barcelona signing Claudio Bravo has insisted he is ‘proud’ to sign for the Camp Nou outfit.

The Chile goalkeeper was unveiled as a Blaugrana player earlier today, having signed from Real Sociedad last month.

And the shot-stopper has claimed that he will fit right in to Luis Enrique’s style.

“I would like to thank FC Barcelona for putting their trust in me and my future abilities,” he told reporters.

“I am proud to be here and be a part of this great project and this great club. I feel that it was time to put an end to an era at Real Sociedad, a club where I enjoyed a lot more success than I had hoped.

“Now I have to defend these colours to the best of my abilities. A thousand things are going through my head right now – you always hope that these types of things will happen to you and that you get this far.”

Bravo then commented on competition for places between the sticks with Josip Matic and Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

“The three of us start out at square one, with the same advantages as each other.

“We're all in the same boat, doing our best so that the team performs as well as possible. I'm going to do my very best, as I reckon everyone will.”
