Bravo: Barca move is amazing

Claudio Bravo can’t quite believe he has completed his move from Real Sociedad to Barcelona, describing the transfer as ‘amazing.’

Bravo has spoken to Barca TV, with his comments published by Mundo Deportivo after arriving in Catalonia to complete the formalities of the deal.

“After what I experienced in the World Cup to arrive at Barca is an amazing feeling and makes me very happy,” the Chile captain said.

“I have great memories from Real Sociedad. They allowed me to come to Europe and opened the door for me to come to Barca. This is a prize for the hard work.

“I am eager to contribute and help the team. I’m very ambitious and have high expectations of doing things right.

“I’m very motivated to replace Victor Valdes and Jose Pinto, who have been references for the club.”

Bravo is one of a two new signings for the goalkeeper’s position, joining Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, while Jordi Masip has been promoted from Barca B.

But Bravo is not concerned by the presence of rivals for the place in Luis Enrique’s starting XI, instead welcoming his competitors.

“Competition is always good for the team and it’s for the best,” he said.
