Barcelona will pay Liverpool €79.2m for Luis Suarez, reports in the Spanish Press have suggested this morning.
Catalan television station TV3 had indicated on Friday that the deal would be worth €75m. However, they have claimed that the Blaugrana will now splash out an extra €4.2m for the striker.
Luis Enrique’s side have been courting the Uruguay international for some time now, after he scored 31 goals in the Premier League last term.
And it seems that an agreement is in place to see the striker leave Anfield and come to Camp Nou.
Suarez however, can’t play for his new team until at least the end of October after he was banned by FIFA for four months, following his bite on Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini.
The deal however, won’t include Alexi Sanchez as the Premier League outfit had hoped. The Chile international is thought to have refused a switch to the north-west.
