Barcelona forward Neymar has been taken to a hospital in Fortaleza after he was stretchered off in Brazil’s World Cup quarter-final win over Colombia.
Sport reports that Neymar was put in an ambulance after he was felled by Colombia’s Camilo Zuniga, the Napoli full-back clattering the 22-year-old from behind in the final minutes of the match.
Brazil won the tie 2-1 and progress to a semi-final against Germany but will definitely be without Thiago Silva, scorer of the first goal, who will miss the game through suspension.
There is now concern over the fitness of Neymar, who Sport say was in tears as he was carried from the pitch.
